Boulder Opal – from Queensland, Australia
This is a solid natural cut and polished Yowah Nut Opal from Queensland.
The stone is a double-sided freeform teardrop shape with intricate patterns containing bright green, blue and translucent purple opal with flashes of green and blue.
Approximate dimensions are 40×32.5x8mm, weight is 14.5g. Carat size is 73.5ct.
Only found in Western Queensland, Boulder Opal formed millions of years ago in seams within ironstone or sandstone boulders where silica rich water seeped down into cracks and crevices and over time formed opal. Only a rare few will exhibit the amazing patterns and vibrant colours associated with this type of opal.

The cabochon is a freeform oval shape with fine, intricate patternation containing multi-colour flashes of bright red, orange, yellow, green, blue and purple opal.
Approximate dimensions are 26x16mm, carat size 21ct.
