Natural Solid Queensland Boulder Opal Pendant with adjustable waxed cotton cord necklace

The stone is a triangular shape with delicate veins containing multi-color flashes of bright red, orange, yellow, green and blue.

The stone is approximately 22x15mm and weight is approximately 9.5ct.

The pendant is threaded with a black waxed cotton cord and has two sterling silver beads to hold it in place. Total weight is 3.6g.

Only found in Western Queensland, Boulder Opal formed millions of years ago in seams within ironstone or sandstone boulders where silica rich water seeped down into cracks and crevices and over time formed opal. Only a rare few will exhibit the amazing patterns and vibrant colours associated with this type of opal.
