Natural Solid Queensland Yowah Nut Boulder Opal Pendant with adjustable waxed cotton cord.
The pendant is a freeform teardrop shape drilled through the front, it has a dark ironstone base with intricate patterns containing bright flashes of red, pink, orange, yellow, green, blue and purple.
Approximate dimensions are 48x23x10mm. Carat size 93ct.
The pendant is threaded with a black waxed cotton cord with two sterling silver beads at the top.
Total weight is 23g.
Only found in Western Queensland, Boulder Opal formed millions of years ago in seams within ironstone or sandstone boulders where silica rich water seeped down into cracks and crevices and over time formed opal. Only a rare few will exhibit the amazing patterns and vibrant colours associated with this type of opal.
