Natural Solid Queensland Yowah Nut Boulder Opal Double-sided Pendant with a Sterling Silver Bail.
The pendant is a freeform teardrop shape drilled through the top. It has dark ironstone on one side and intricate patterns on the other containing bright flashes of green, blue and purple.
Approximate dimensions are 29x22x12mm. Carat size 52ct.
The pendant is drilled and has a sterling silver bail. Total length is 43mm, total weight is 11g.
Only found in Western Queensland, Boulder Opal formed millions of years ago in seams within ironstone or sandstone boulders where silica rich water seeped down into cracks and crevices and over time formed opal. Only a rare few will exhibit the amazing patterns and vibrant colours associated with this type of opal.
