Natural Solid Queensland Yowah Nut Boulder Opal Double-sided Pendant with a Sterling Silver Bail.
The pendant is a freeform teardrop shape drilled through the top. It has a dark ironstone base with intricate patterns containing bright flashes of red, pink, orange, yellow, green, blue and purple.
Approximate dimensions are 34x14x11mm. Carat size 38ct.
The pendant is drilled with a sterling silver bail. Total length is 47mm, total weight is 8g.
Only found in Western Queensland, Boulder Opal formed millions of years ago in seams within ironstone or sandstone boulders where silica rich water seeped down into cracks and crevices and over time formed opal. Only a rare few will exhibit the amazing patterns and vibrant colours associated with this type of opal.
