AUSTRALIAN MADE

Natural Solid Queensland Boulder Opal Pendant with adjustable waxed cotton cord necklace

The pendant is a freeform half round shape which has been drilled through the front of the stone at the narrowest point. There are areas of translucent blue and mauve with bright flashes of red, pink, green and blue.

Approximate dimensions are 22x19x6mm, weight is 22.5ct.

The pendant is threaded with a black adjustable waxed cotton cord with three sterling silver beads at the base of the pendant to keep the cord in place.

Total weight of pendant is 6.5g.

Only found in Western Queensland, Boulder Opal formed millions of years ago in seams within ironstone or sandstone boulders where silica rich water seeped down into cracks and crevices and over time formed opal. Only a rare few will exhibit the amazing patterns and vibrant colours associated with this type of opal.

Photographs have been taken in various lighting conditions.

Dimensions of pendant and necklace are approximate.
