Natural Solid Queensland Boulder Opal Pendant with adjustable waxed cotton cord necklace
The pendant is a freeform oval shape that has been drilled through the front of the stone. The light host stone has areas of moss coloured opal with multicolour flashes of bright red, orange, yellow, green and blue.

The stone is threaded with a black waxed cotton cord with three sterling silver beads to hold it in place.
Only found in Western Queensland, Boulder Opal formed millions of years ago in seams within ironstone or sandstone boulders where silica rich water seeped down into cracks and crevices and over time formed opal. Only a rare few will exhibit the amazing patterns and vibrant colours associated with this type of opal.
Photographs have been taken in various lighting conditions.
Dimensions are approximate.
