Natural Solid Queensland Boulder Opal Double-sided Pendant with adjustable waxed cotton cord necklace
The small opal cabochon is a delicate double-sided oval shape with multi-color flashes of bright red, orange, yellow, green and blue.
The stone is approximately 17x12mm and weight is approximately 6.1ct.
The pendant is threaded with a black waxed cotton cord, total weight is 2.8g.
Only found in Western Queensland, Boulder Opal formed millions of years ago in seams within ironstone or sandstone boulders where silica rich water seeped down into cracks and crevices and over time formed opal. Only a rare few will exhibit the amazing patterns and vibrant colours associated with this type of opal.
